Laser Imaging & Design, Inc. Opened it's doors on August 15, 2001. Within a few short years the company shot to the top, emerging as one of the premiere laser stone etching companies in North America. Being featured in multiple publications, our company has gained international attention as being "one of the few companies that can handle complex large scale jobs, when it comes to the art of laser etching". We have spent countless hours in the research and development stages to reach a level of quality that even our competitors have called "the best laser etching in the industry". In January 2007 Laser Imaging moved to its brand new 8500 sq ft. facility, specifically designed and built for our purposes. During this expansion, we purchased more lasers and larger lifting equipment to better serve our customers and their needs. Whether you are looking for a small keepsake, or a colossal size wall or floor mural, architectural signage or personalized memorials, let us create something completely unique that will last virtually forever.
Even though the company is new, we have more than 45 combined years in the monument and granite industry. All 3 of our in house artists have degrees in graphic design, and have extensive training in the latest designing software.
Before starting the company, Jim Smith (CEO & Owner) spent 10 years designing and hand etching memorials for one of the largest monument companies in Ohio. With the combination of his hand etching and computer design abilities, incorporation of the laser made for a perfect transition to take stone etching to a whole new level.
Sean Donahue (Vice President & Creative Director) has been with the company since day one, his ability to edit, combine, or alter photographs is "uncanny". Using the latest computer technology and designing software, things that were not even imaginable a few years ago are now a reality.....and to be able to etch these images into stone forever, makes it only that much more unbelievable.
Josh Sasfy (Graphic Designer & Laser Operator) joined our team Nov. 2007 fresh from design school. Josh brings strong design skills and style with his abilities.
Karla Watkins (Administration & Secretary) has been with us since April 2005. Karla is in charge of all accounts receivable and payable. It will be her pleasant voice you hear when you call.
